This eight-week course provides a comprehensive introduction to mobile forensics, offering insights from a forensic analyst’s perspective on conducting mobile device examinations. The 40-hour curriculum covers:

  • fundamental concepts of mobile devices
  • the technology underlying wireless networks
  • the use of mobile forensic tools
  • established forensic methodologies
  • and best practices for evidence handling

Description

As part of the Global Forensic and Justice Center Digital Forensics Examiner Professional Program, ideal students are digital examiners, including former military personnel and recent graduates, and field officers. In order to successfully complete this course, participants will need access to a Windows computer with Administrative privileges or a Mac computer with Parallels installed to run Windows in a virtual environment.
