Description
As part of the Global Forensic and Justice Center Digital Forensics Examiner Professional Program, ideal students are digital examiners, including former military personnel and recent graduates, and field officers.
Note/Disclaimer: This course has a prerequisite. Successful completion of the Digital Forensics Fundamental Skills course is required before enrollment and participation in Introduction to Mobile Forensics. FIU students in good standing (minimum 3.0 GPA) who have successfully taken EEL 4802 Introduction to Digital Forensics Engineering are eligible. Your course access credentials will be emailed 5 (five) business days before the course begins.
Micro-Credential: A Micro-Credential is available for trainees who complete all required portions of this course including the final reflection. Developed within the Global Forensic and Justice Center, this badge recognizes demonstrated knowledge of methods used to conduct mobile device forensic examinations. Earners can explain characteristics of mobile devices and the underlying technology for wireless networks. Earners can employ proper evidence handling techniques and industry standard tools and methodologies to conduct forensically-sound mobile device examinations.
