This course introduces the science of digital forensics from the ground up, providing participants with a solid foundation to build the knowledge necessary for a career in digital forensics. This is a requirement for all other courses in the program. Key concepts include the principles and methodologies of digital forensics, data recovery and analysis techniques, legal and ethical considerations, and an overview of specialized forensic tools and software used to conduct forensic examinations on digital devices. A Micro-Credential can be earned with successful completion of the course and final reflection.
Introduction to Mobile Forensics
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to mobile forensics, offering insights from a forensic analyst’s perspective on conducting mobile device examinations. The curriculum covers fundamental concepts of mobile devices, the technology underlying wireless networks, the use of mobile forensic tools, established forensic methodologies, and best practices for evidence handling.
